Hy, I know you are excited to know the types of Chihuahua here we share all information related to this topic basically this is the worlds smallest dog breed and this breed originally comes from the State of Mexico, these dogs now found in homes all over the world and they come in a wide variety of colors, head shapes (seriously!) and coat textures. 

These days these Chihuahuas become more popular companions, mainly because of their loving nature and another hand of their petite size Today we start digging into the all a to z history of the Chihuahua.


There are seven common options in total; let’s look at them:-

Short-Haired Chihuahua

This is a small dog breed known for its tiny size & smooth coat, this breed is one of the smallest & oldest dog breeds in the world. Now let’s see the size, weight, length & more:-

Weight:- 2 to 6 pounds (0.9 to 2.7 kilograms)
Tall at the shoulder:- 5 to 8 inches (13 to 20 centimeters)

Long-Haired Chihuahuas

Here are some key characteristics and information about long-haired Chihuahuas:-

Coat:-
  • soft and smooth double coat
  • fur can be straight or slightly wavy
Length:-
  • The fur of long-haired Chihuahuas can grow quite long
  •  length of the coat varies among individual dogs.
Shedding:-
  • They are moderate shedders
  • Grooming can help minimize shedding and keep their coat healthy
  • regular grooming to prevent tangles and matting.
  • Brushing their fur a few times a week
Temperament:-

The Deer-Headed Chihuahua

While deer head is not an officially recognized breed standard term by the major kennel clubs, it is a commonly used term within the Chihuahua community to describe a specific head shape preference.

Apple-Head Chihuahuas

The Apple-Head Chihuahua is a variation of a popular look within the Chihuahua breed. The term “apple head” is used to describe a chihuahua whose head is shaped like the roundness of an apple.

The Pear-Headed Chihuahua

The term “pear-headed chihuahua” is not a recognized breed or standard term within the chihuahua breed. However, it is sometimes used to describe a Chihuahua with a characteristic head shape that appears broad at the back and tapers towards the nose, resembling the shape of a pear.
