1. Chihuahua

The Chihuahua dog is one of the smallest and most popular dog breeds. A chihuahua weighs 3 to 6 pounds. Their height reaches a maximum height of 6 to 10 inches, so it is believed that these dogs are always small and cute.

5. Pomeranian

Hailing from Pomerania in Germany, the Pomeranian dog weighs as little as 3 pounds and is rarely larger than 7. They are natural performers and love attention. However, they are easily distracted and can be stubborn.

They require moderate exercise but can be very active, so a daily walk will be necessary as will intersperse playtime. Their double coats shed quite a bit, so you’ll need to brush them often, especially during the spring and fall seasons.

6. Japanese Chin

I would like to tell you that these Japanese Chin Dogs can be prevented from being around strangers because this dog is very fond of those people. With whom it becomes well acquainted. Their canines weigh between 7 and 11 pounds and grow to 11 inches tall or less. The Japanese Chin has a life span of 10 to 12 years. They have low exercise needs, but like all dogs, they can always benefit from a daily walk.

They are versatile creatures that generally get along well with other dogs and their environment. Whereas with a lustrous coat and sensitive, affectionate personality, the Japanese Chin can make an excellent companion dog.

7. Shih Tzu

8. French Bulldog

As I tell you, this is because they belong to a group of dogs known as brachycephalic dogs. A close cousin of these bulldogs, the French Bulldog, or “Frenchie,” has all the typical Bulldog characteristics except loose, wrinkled skin and a flat face. This breed is one of the largest breeds on this list.

French French Bulldogs are very energetic dogs, but they tire very easily. While they may look cute, it is important to be aware of the health concerns that come with owning a brachycephalic dog. French Bulldogs can weigh up to about 28 pounds and can stand up to 12 inches tall.

9. Lhasa Apso
