In the first round of the tournament, Zimbabwe finished top of Group B, beating the always green Irish team and the fearsome Scotland team of the West Indies.

Zimbabwe played their first Super 12 match on Monday at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart on a chilly night in what could be called the 'Battle of Africa'.

Only Sean Williams was able to save Zimbabwe from a sure defeat, as he was too tired to start the fourth match for the umpires, after teammate Richard Ngarava sprained and injured his leg.

After spending the past two weeks in sub-13 degree weather in Hobart, Tasmania, Zimbabwe now travel to sunny skies and more typical Perth temperatures for your next game on Thursday (October 28).

Zimbabwe will be up against fast bowling from Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi, who will find it difficult to play in the best of times considering the live cricket pitches in Western Australia.
